First, let us tell you one thing, there is no Ranveer Singh in the movie. There is Kapil Dev. The way Ranveer Singh played the role of iconic Kapil Dev is outstanding. Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev is making headlines for his superb body language, Natraj shot, bowling action, persona, and dialogue delivery. Deepika Padukone will be seen portraying the role of Romi Bhatia, wife of Kapil Dev in the film. The casting for not only Indian cricketers but also West Indies players fits into the role. Every actor who personated the character of players put every effort to be like real. The characters are selected so amazingly that it will recreate the magic of 1983.

Director Kabir Khan has done superb work for recreating India’s World Cup victory. The film takes you on the journey of self-belief, reuniting, and also how the game of cricket became a religion in India. Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man is brilliant.
