The much-awaited Ramayana has now taken its first musical step. The makers have released the film’s first song, ‘Jai Jai Ram’, giving audiences an early glimpse into the emotional and devotional world of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious epic.
The song arrives with an impressive musical team. A.R. Rahman has composed the track, Dr Kumar Vishwas has penned the lyrics, while Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal have lent their voices to it. The song was unveiled on September 14, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Rather than functioning as a standalone promotional number, ‘Jai Jai Ram’ feels like an introduction to the spiritual and emotional fabric of the film, Ramayana. The video brings together several important moments from Lord Ram’s life, including his wedding to Sita, his bond with King Dashrath and the emotional reunion with Bharat.

Filmmaker and producer Namit Malhotra explained the thought behind ‘Jai Jai Ram’. According to him, the song was created to capture the emotional and devotional connection people have with Shri Ram. He said:
“Shri Ram is at the heart of Ramayana and, for generations, has been the guide we turn to through every phase of life. In moments of darkness, we seek his strength. In moments of uncertainty, we look to his path. And in moments of joy, we remember him with gratitude. ‘Jai Jai Ram’ comes from that deeply personal and timeless relationship we share with Shri Ram.”
The statement explains why the song focuses so heavily on devotion and emotion. Instead of presenting Shri Ram only through the scale of the epic, the first musical offering attempts to connect him with the personal relationship devotees have with the character.
Ramayana Part One Releases On Diwali 2026
The musical journey of Ramayana has now officially begun with ‘Jai Jai Ram’. The bigger story, however, will unfold on the big screen. Ramayana Part One is scheduled to release in cinemas on Diwali 2026.
