During his interaction with the media, Vidyut was asked how different his experience of working in Hollywood was. The actor immediately highlighted discipline as one of the biggest differences.
He explained that working on Street Fighter gave him the opportunity to see a large number of people following the same schedule and rules.
“Out there, I saw discipline like never before. For the first time, I saw 300 people on the set following discipline. Any big actor, be it 50 Cent or Jason Momoa or Cody Rhodes, they don’t know the meaning of being late. You are on a contract and so you have to be on the set at 10 am. There’s no such thing as ‘Main late ho gaya’. They don’t know about it. And if someone is one minute late, they call you and ask you, ‘Are you in the hospital?’!”
The comment highlights just how seriously punctuality was treated during the production. For Vidyut, it was not simply about actors arriving on time. The entire system appeared to work around a strict schedule, with everyone expected to follow the same rules.
“The Laws Are So Strict”

Vidyut also spoke about the regulations surrounding working hours. According to the actor, technicians are paid for every minute they spend working beyond their scheduled hours. He added,
“The laws are so strict. Every technician is paid for every minute of overtime. Technicians wait karte hain overtime karne ke liye! So, when you experience something like this, that too in the presence of legends, you realize this is so different. It’ll take time for us to be like them. We are following the rules and laws, but we can get better. We can change a little bit.”
His comments were not simply about comparing two film industries. Vidyut also acknowledged that the Indian industry is following rules and laws, while suggesting that there is still scope for improvement.
The actor’s experience appears to have given him a closer look at how a large-scale international production operates. With hundreds of people working on a set, even a small delay can potentially affect an entire day’s schedule.
Vidyut Jammwal’s Hollywood Debut With Street Fighter
Street Fighter marks Vidyut Jammwal’s Hollywood debut, and the actor is stepping into one of the most recognisable worlds in gaming and action entertainment.
He plays Dhalsim, the iconic character known for his extraordinary fighting abilities. The newly launched teaser gives audiences a glimpse of Vidyut in the role and offers a first look at the action-packed world of the film.
For an actor known for his martial arts skills and physically demanding action performances, Dhalsim is also a role that comes with considerable expectations. The event itself also showcased Vidyut’s physical abilities in a rather unusual way.
Vidyut Holds His Breath For 16 Minutes
Towards the end of the event, Vidyut stunned those present by attempting an extraordinary breath-holding challenge. The actor reportedly held his breath for 16 minutes. As the challenge continued, tears streamed down his face, but Vidyut remained focused and completed the feat.
The moment added another talking point to an event that was already centred around his Hollywood debut. Vidyut has often been associated with physical training and action, and the challenge once again placed his endurance in the spotlight. However, his comments about the Hollywood work culture remained one of the key takeaways from the media interaction.
