Badass Ravi Kumar Story

The story starts with a disclaimer ‘Logic Is Optional.’ Himesh Reshammiya is a fearless, no-nonsense cop who does not follow rules when it comes to taking down criminals. He is a true patriot and always delivers powerful dialogues to strike fear into his enemies. But his toughest challenge is the dangerous mission where he meets the psychotic and ruthless gangster Carlos played by Prabhu Deva. Carlos and his gang are after a reel that contains high-security elements of the country. As Ravi fights to keep it from falling into the wrong hands, shocking truths about his past begin to unfold.
Badass Ravi Kumar Review

Himesh Reshammiya is truly back with a bang. He returns in an action-packed massy avatar with Badass Ravi Kumar. Before watching the film, keep the logic behind it as the disclaimer clearly says so at the start. Director Keith Gomes made sure that you are being entertained fully. He created the 80s era and takes you with it. Each frame feels like it has been pulled straight out of an 80s Bollywood film.

The dialogues are the biggest USP of Badass Ravi Kumar. Bunty Rathore has given plenty of whistle-worthy and powerful dialogues that stay true to the theme of the film. The catchy phrases bring out the best of Ravi Kumar’s character. Some of the dialogues are like, ‘Tere shareer main itna khoon nahi hoga, jitna Ravi Kumar ke baar mein moot data hai.” “Tu bada ho ke bigda hoga, main bachpan se kharab hu.” “Kundali mein shani, ghee ke sath honey, aur Ravi Kumar ke sath dushmani sehat ke liye hanikarak ho sakti hai.” “Sudhar ja, nahi toh guzar jaega.”

The VFX and action sequence are decent. The BGM perfectly complements and elevates the scenes and the narrative. The music is good. Songs like Dil Ke Taj Mahal Mein, Tandoori Days, and Tere Pyaar Mein are chartbusters. Though some of them misfit into the story, but its worth listening.
Badass Ravi Kumar Performance

Himesh Reshammiya is the heart and soul of Badass Ravi Kumar. He gets into the skin of Ravi Kumar’s character with a classic ‘dialogue-baazi’ along with a cigarette in hand. His larger-than-life swag and persona are superb. Prabhu Deva is fantastic and is equally entertaining when he arrives on screen.

The other cast Kirti Kulhari, Simona J, Rajesh Sharma, Prashant Narayan, Manish Wadhwa, Anil George, Sanjay Mishra, Sunny Leone, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Johnny Lever do not have much to do, but did well in their limited screen presence. The film has its flaws, but if you are looking for entertainment without logic, Badass Ravi Kumar excels in providing the same.
Final Verdict

Overall, Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar is a mass entertainer without logic that takes you to the 80s with its powerful dialogues, melodious songs, and full of entertainment. A fun watch over the weekend.
