Over The Top, (OTT) platforms are an effective media service directly provided to the customers over the internet. India has approximately 40 OTT platforms that provide original content. The OTT market in India will increase by 45% by 2023 as per KBMG reports. India will be the second biggest OTT market in the world after The United States of America.

According to research from The Satta Matka team at Betway, there is a rapid growth in digitalization in the last decade. The entire credit goes to smartphones, digital payments, entertainment, fast internet networks, online gaming, fantasy sports, e-commerce, and many more.

Last month Netflix reduced its prices in India. Netflix is allowing customers to save money on their current subscription or upgrade to a higher plan. Interestingly, Amazon Prime Video, another OTT giant has increased its prices in India. Here is the detailed price comparison of all the major OTT platforms you can subscribe to in India right now.

 

1. Disney Plus Hotstar

Disney Plus Hotstar has three different plans available in India. This includes Rs 499 per year Mobile-Just package that supports only mobile devices with 720p streaming and stereo audio.

A Super plan, which costs Rs 899 and includes two devices with 1080p streaming and Dolby 5.1 audio, is also available. Finally, a Premium package costs Rs 1,499 per year and includes 4K streaming and Dolby 5.1 audio for four devices.

 

2. Sony Liv

Sony Liv is available in a variety of plans in India. It is based on duration and the material you wish to watch. If you choose the ‘No Ads except sports and live events’ variation, the Liv Special+ plan costs Rs 399. Then there is the WWE Network, which costs Rs 299 for a year. A 12-month Liv Premium plan costs Rs 999, a 6-month Liv Premium plan costs Rs 699, and a one-month Liv Premium plan costs Rs 299.

 

3. Netflix

Netflix has four plans available in India. It includes the Netflix Mobile plan that costs Rs 149 per month with 480p streaming for one mobile/tablet device. For your information, the mobile plan only allows users to use the service on their phone or tablet. You cannot use it on your computer or television. The Netflix Basic plan costs Rs 199 per month and allows for 480p streaming on a single screen (any device). A Netflix Standard plan costs Rs 499 per month and allows two devices to stream in 1080p. Finally, a Netflix Premium plan costs Rs 649 per month and includes up to four devices with 4K HDR streaming.

 

4. Voot

Voot Select is available for Rs 299 for a 12-month subscription that covers all premium content on the app.

 

5. ZEE5

There are two ZEE5 Premium options available to users. A 12-month subscription with three displays is available, as well as a three-month Rs 299 option with two screens.

 

6. Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video just raised the price of its subscription options, unlike Netflix. Users would have to pay Rs 1,499 for the annual Prime membership plan because of the plans revised. Amazon Prime Video monthly subscription that costs Rs 129 be increased by Rs 50 to Rs 179. However, Amazon Prime members get more than just access to Amazon Prime Video; they also get faster Amazon delivery, access to Amazon Music, and more.
