Emraan Hashmi is in the Bollywood industry for nearly two decades and called the industry ‘fake’. After his work done on the sets, he chooses to maintain distance from all the Bollywood parties. Emraan told to radio host Siddharth Kannan that in the industry people hype others to their faces and also tear the same people down behind their back. He told,
“Aisa toh hai (This is a fact). There are no two ways about it. That is the truth of our industry. But it is not just because of that. I think a person’s life should be more than just their profession.”
Emraan Hashmi also told how his friends and family helped him to stay grounded. He added,
“I remain grounded because of my friends, whom I have known for years, who have nothing to do with the film industry. I need to credit my family as well for keeping me rooted and I cherish their criticism, as it gives me a ‘realistic perspective’. Distancing from the film industry after spending so much time on set helps me maintain my sanity.”
