Kartik Aaryan Reveals He Returned His Fees For ‘Shehzada’ To Save The Film From A Crisis

Shehzada is a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Shehzada is a complete family entertainer which is worth a watch. Kartik Aaryan has let go of his fees for the film to save it from the crisis and joined the film as a co-producer. It was during COVID-19 when he has to step up to save the film.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Kartik Aaryan became a co-producer to save the film Shehzada from the crisis. He said,

“For this one. Initially, I was not onboard as a producer for Shehzada. At first, I had taken my fees and remuneration. And then there was a crisis. The film was going through a crisis and they needed somebody to step up. So I asked my producer then I gave up my money. That is how this whole thing, production and me becoming a co-producer came (into being).”

Kartik Aaryan said that his gesture reduced the burden on the film, and things became much easier after he became co-producer.

“In a way, that resulted in lessening some burden off the film. I signed the film when I had not even signed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, so… both films were hand-in-hand. Thankfully, this one’s (Shehzada) budget was not much but it is an action film so it needed some budget. And, there were certain issues we were facing at one point, because of which I had to give up (the remuneration). And, we are in a good spot, the good situation right now.”

Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada is doing fairly well at the box office. The film has collected around Rs 20.20 crore at the box office. Well, it was a nice gesture from Kartik Aaryan. The film involves many people, and a lot of money is invested to make the film.
