He has crafted the story with utmost perfection. The crisp narrative keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the courtroom sequences are riveting. The historical drama brings life to one of the most heartbreaking and significant events in India’s fight for independence: the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The picturization of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre is shivering and will haunt you even after the film ends. The background score is sharp and perfectly elevates the story. Talking about the performances, Akshay Kumar is phenomenal. He gets into the skin of fearless lawyer C. Sankaran Nair superbly. This is one of the best performances of Akshay Kumar in recent times. The way he carries the intensity in his role is mind-blowing. R Madhavan as Advocate Neville McKinley is top notch. Just like Shaitaan, you will hate his character, and this proves what a talented actor R Madhavan is. He is simply fantastic.

Ananya  Panday is a total surprise. This is one of the most challenging roles of her career, and she excelled. She is growing as an actor, and her hard work is clearly visible in Kesari Chapter 2. Regina Cassandra, who portrays the role of C Shankaran’s wife, played her part equally well, despite limited screen presence. Simon Pasley Day as General Dyer is ruthless. Other casts Krish Rao and Amit Sial did well in their respective roles.
