Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are bringing their trademark banter to Koffee With Karan 9. The promo for the fourth episode features the Bollywood couple sharing the couch with host Karan Johar. From Kareena’s playful dig at the filmmaker to Saif’s unexpected answers, the teaser offers a glimpse of an entertaining conversation.
The episode also marks another joint appearance for the couple on a popular chat show. They previously appeared together on Koffee With Karan Season 3 in 2010. More recently, they reunited on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Kareena Kapoor’s Dig At Karan Johar
Kareena wastes little time teasing Karan in the promo. She says she is “happy and relieved” about the show’s final season, suggesting that she will no longer have to keep returning to the famous couch.
“We don’t have to keep coming on Koffee With Karan,” says Kareena.
Karan is quick with his response. “Thank you for showing your sensitivity towards the last season of the show,” quips Karan.
Their exchange sets the tone for the episode, with Kareena taking a playful jab at the host and Karan responding in his usual witty style. Saif, meanwhile, offers his own take on being part of the show. Interrupting their exchange, he admits that he feels like a “miscast” on Koffee With Karan.
Saif Ali Khan Has A Suggestion For Kareena
The conversation takes another turn when Karan asks Kareena to name the No. 1 actor among the current generation. While Kareena’s answer is left for viewers to discover, Saif has a suggestion for his wife. “You are allowed to praise other actors as well.”
The remark adds another layer to the couple’s on-screen dynamic. Their exchange also gives a glimpse of the lighthearted moments viewers can expect from the episode.
The promo then moves to the show’s gaming round, where the couple must name actors whose names begin with the letter K.
Saif responds with an unexpected name: “Kavita.” He later adds, “There’ll be someone like Kavita, right?”
The unusual answer makes for one of the promo’s more amusing moments and gives viewers another reason to look forward to the full episode.
Karan Johar’s Emotional Farewell To Koffee With Karan
The episode arrives as Koffee With Karan prepares to conclude its long run. On September 30, Karan Johar shared an emotional video announcing the show’s final season and reflected on his 22-year association with the franchise.
Karan recalled how his father, producer Yash Johar, had questioned the idea when he first pitched the show in 2004. ‘Who will pay to see you talk to your friends?’
The filmmaker also looked back at the conversations, controversies, and career-defining moments that became part of the show’s identity. He said,
“I called lovers, friends, family, lovers who went on to become ex-lovers; some of them even got married. I nearly put an end to the careers of national icons; I am living with the word nepotism even today. Conjecture became a kind of national word; so much happened. Everywhere I go, fortunately or unfortunately, I am always asked when the next season of Koffee With Karan is. I wonder why they don’t ask me when my next feature film is, but whatever it was, I know this show gave me so much.”
Over the years, the show has become known for candid conversations, celebrity revelations, and moments that spark discussions beyond the couch.
What To Expect From Koffee With Karan 9 Episode 4
With Saif and Kareena sharing the couch, the upcoming episode promises playful exchanges and a few unexpected answers. Kareena’s teasing of Karan and Saif’s amusing responses are already the highlights of the promo.
As the show approaches its final season, the episode also brings another celebrity pairing to a franchise that has spent more than two decades bringing Bollywood conversations into the spotlight.
