The countdown to the final season of Koffee With Karan has begun. Karan Johar is bringing back his popular celebrity chat show for one last time, and the newly released promo has revealed the first guest. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will kick off Season 9, promising an entertaining start to the show’s farewell journey.
The upcoming season will premiere on October 14 on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar. With Salman making his return to the famous couch, the promo also hints that the final season could feature conversations without the usual restrictions.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 Promo Features Salman Khan
Karan Johar shared the promo on social media, confirming Salman’s appearance in the opening episode. Announcing the new season, the filmmaker wrote, “One last time…a koffee with the one & only bhaii. Koffee with Karan Season 9, streaming 14th October onwards on The Peacock Hub On JioHotstar. #KWKS9OnJioHotstar”
The promo also acknowledges that this will be the show’s final season. Karan tells Salman, “Ye last season hai, so ye kahin bhi jaa sakta hai, right?” Salman agrees with him and responds, “Jayega Jayega.”
The exchange hints at the candid conversations and unexpected moments that viewers have come to associate with the show. With the makers positioning this as the final chapter, expectations are high for memorable celebrity appearances and some unfiltered conversations.
Salman Khan Returns To The Koffee Couch After 10 Years
Salman Khan’s appearance is particularly significant because he has not featured on Koffee With Karan since 2016. The actor previously appeared on the show twice. On one occasion, he was accompanied by his brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. On another, he appeared alongside his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.
This time, Salman will appear as the sole guest on the premiere episode. His return after a decade adds a nostalgic touch to the final season, especially for viewers who remember his earlier appearances.
Salman has also reportedly completed the shoot for the premiere episode. His presence sets the tone for a season that will bring the long-running chat show to an end.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 Guest List: Who Else Is Expected?
Salman Khan is only the beginning. The upcoming season is expected to feature several popular Bollywood stars and celebrity pairings.
The reported guest list includes Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, Ananya Panday and Ananya Birla, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, Vedang Raina, Sharvari Wagh and Lakshya. Kareena Kapoor Khan is expected to appear with her husband, Saif Ali Khan.
Other anticipated combinations include Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
However, these appearances have not all been officially confirmed. Salman Khan is the first guest revealed in the promo, while further announcements are awaited.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 Marks The End Of An Era
Over the years, Koffee With Karan has become one of India’s most recognisable celebrity chat shows. From candid confessions and rapid-fire rounds to headline-making revelations, the programme has frequently sparked conversations beyond the screen.
Karan Johar’s decision to end the show with its ninth season makes this return especially emotional for longtime viewers. The filmmaker has also indicated that he wants to focus more on directing films and telling new stories.
With Salman Khan opening the final season, the show is preparing to bid farewell with a major Bollywood name. Whether the remaining episodes deliver more unexpected revelations remains to be seen.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 premieres on October 14, 2026, on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.
