Producer Vishesh Bhatt has exclusively responded to Cinetales on Instagram and revealed that he had written a “very important role” for the late actor in the sequel. Atul Parchure was an important part of the original Awarapan, which was released in 2007. He played Siddharth Sood, a Buddhist monk who shared a memorable connection with Emraan Hashmi’s character, Shivam Pandit.

His revelation confirmed that Parchure was not simply left out of the sequel. The filmmaker had actually planned an important part for him. Vishesh Bhatt wrote:
“Yes I had written a very important role for him in part 2 but unfortunately gone too soon. He was the loveliest person. Om shanti. 🙏💔🤍”
The statement makes it clear that Parchure was intended to return to the Awarapan universe. His role had already been written, but his untimely demise meant that the makers had to move forward without him. For fans of the original, this revelation adds another emotional layer to the sequel.
Awarapan 2 Becomes A Major Box Office Success
