The film is directed by Sudha, who previously helmed the Tamil original Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role in the remake film ‘ Sarfira’. Akshay’s character defies financial hardships and other barriers to meet his dream. It also features Paresh Rawal’s character, a business mogul who controls the nation’s biggest airline. Seema Biswas, R. Sarath Kumar, and Radhikka Madan play important roles in the movie as well.

The trailer opens with Akshay informing everyone how he is in debt and every ounce of money is employed in repaying the never-ending debts. On being questioned about what he owns, the character confidently reveals his business idea. A man with a mission, Akshay Kumar portrays a villager who aspires to find his airline so that “Aam Aadmi,” from his community and beyond might travel. Following his rejection and taunts, Akshay resolves to work alone to realize his dream. To lower the cost of air travel for everyone, he even considers releasing plane tickets for just ₹1.

The scenes of Sarfira also show Paresh’s character speaking negatively of the labor class of the society, hence addressing the real issues of the world.  As the name suggests, ‘Sarfira’ encourages everyone to dream and think big. The film embraces the concepts of dreaming big, consistency, dedication, perseverance, hard work, and courage. It successfully depicts how one should dream so big that drives people crazy. Sarfira was revealed by Akshay in February of 2024. The actor wrote, “Dream so Big, they call you crazy!” alongside the first look of the movie on Instagram. Pooja Tolani wrote the dialogue for the Sudha Kongara movie, which was written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi. Producers of Sarfira include Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment), south superstars Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment), and Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films).
