Tiger 3 Day 9 Box Office Collection: Salman Khan Film Total Income Collection Report

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s latest action-packed venture, ‘Tiger 3,’ seems to be facing unexpected turbulence at the box office. Despite a robust Diwali opening, the film is grappling with its lowest single-day collection yet on its ninth day, leaving industry pundits and fans alike wondering about its overall performance.

Domestic Dilemma

The spy thriller, poised to breach the Rs 250 crore mark domestically, has encountered a stumbling block. With a lackluster overall collection of Rs 236 crore, the anticipated Rs 300 crore milestone now appears out of reach. In comparison, YRF’s ‘Pathaan,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, not only crossed the Rs 500 crore mark domestically but soared past the Rs 1000 crore milestone worldwide earlier this year. Tiger 3 raked in a total of Rs 7.25 crore for Hindi language and Rs 10 lakh for Tamil and Telugu versions of it. Thus, the total Box Office collection stands at Rs 231.75 crore for Hindi language and Rs 238.10 crore for all languages.

International Struggles

Despite his superstar status, Salman Khan grapples with establishing a strong overseas foothold, especially when compared to Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Tiger 3’ faces challenges in the South Indian market, despite the actor’s repeated attempts with crossover hits like ‘Dabangg 3’ and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’ With a reported budget of Rs 300 crore, ‘Tiger 3’ is at risk of being classified as an under-performer. Despite star-studded cameos from Shah Rukh and Hrithik Roshan, the film’s current tally of Rs 380 crore falls short of expectations.

Critics And Audience Response

While YRF adopted a marketing model that worked well for ‘Pathaan,’ the film suffered from a general sense of indifference from both critics and audiences. The absence of press interactions by the stars, a strategy that worked for ‘Pathaan,’ may have contributed to this lack of buzz.

Future Of The Spy Universe

Despite ‘Tiger 3’ struggling, YRF remains undeterred. ‘War 2’ is currently in production, and a much-anticipated ‘Tiger vs. Pathaan’ movie is on the horizon. ‘Tiger 3’ now stands as the second-lowest-grossing installment in the franchise, trailing behind ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘War,’ and ‘Pathaan.’ While the fate of ‘Tiger 3’ hangs in the balance, it remains to be seen whether the upcoming releases in the YRF Spy Universe will revive the box-office fortunes of this action-packed franchise.
