The movie is based on British author Paula Hawkins' 2015 debut novel of the same name. Now, it will be remade in Bollywood with the same title The Girl on the Train. Parineeti Chopra is essaying the role of an alcoholic divorcee who gets embroiled in a missing person's investigation. 2. Jersey [caption id="attachment_15896" align="alignnone" width="800"] via[/caption] Shahid Kapoor's last movie Kabir Singh was a blockbuster. It was the remade of the Tollywood movie Arjun Reddy. Now Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in the movie Jersey. Coincidentally, Jersey is also a remake of a Tollywood movie with the same name. The shooting of the movie is completed this December 2020 and is scheduled to release this year. The story is about a thirty-six-year-old cricketer who quit cricket 10 years ago but now aims to play for the nation again. 3. Dear Comrade [caption id="attachment_15892" align="alignnone" width="800"] via[/caption] Vijay Devarkonda's Arjun Reddy was highly appreciated all over India. It was remade in Bollywood as Kabir Singh. Now, Karan Johar has acquired the rights of Dear Comrade and will produce a Hindi remake of the movie. 4. Laal Singh Chaddha [caption id="attachment_15894" align="alignnone" width="800"] via[/caption] Aamir Khan's upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump. It was itself based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name. The movie was scheduled to release in Christmas 2020 but was shifted later due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 5. Ayyappanum Koshiyum [caption id="attachment_15891" align="alignnone" width="800"] via[/caption] Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a super hit Malayalam movie released in 2019. Bollywood actor John Abraham acquired the rights to a Hindi remake of the movie. John Abraham has earlier produced the movies like Vicky Donor, Force 2, and Madras Cafe to name a few. 6. The sequel of this movie, a Hindi remake starring Rajkummar Rao is planned and will be directed by Sailesh Kolanu. 7. Tadap [caption id="attachment_15899" align="alignnone" width="800"] via[/caption] The Tollywood movie RX100 was a superhit. It will be remade in Hindi by the name Tadap. Sajid Nadiadwala will produce the movie and will be directed by Milan Luthria. Tadap will be the debut movie of Ahan Shetty son of Suniel Shetty and will be opposite Tara Sutaria. 8. Madhu Mantena along with Reliance Entertainment has confirmed in February 2020 that they have bought the rights for the Hindi remake of the film.
