Sonu Sood became a real-life hero for millions of people. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonu Sood has been a knight in shining armor for many people. Sonu Sood helped Bharti airlifted in an air ambulance from Nagpur to Hyderabad for special treatment. Bharti has lost almost 85-90% of her lungs due to a COVID-19 infection. Sonu has helped her to get shifted to Apollo hospital in Hyderabad from Nagpur.
Sonu Sood gets emotional on seeing the family the woman in the Dance Deewane show. He was a special guest in the show when the family member of Bharti expressed gratitude for Sonu Sood on the show. Her mother got emotional and thanked him. Another family member of Bharti told about Sonu Sood,
“Sir humare liye farishte hai (he is an angel for us).”

A few days back Sonu Sood wrote on Twitter,
“In the middle of night,after making numerous calls if u r able to get beds for needy, oxygen for some people n save few lives, I swear..it’s million times more satisfying than being a part of any 100cr film. We can’t sleep when people are infront of hospitals waiting for a bed.”

Recently, Sonu requested the government to provide free education to the children who lost their parents due to COVID-19.

In an interview with HT, Sonu Sood said that he does not consider himself a national hero. He said,
It started very simply with me being worried about the plight of all the migrants, who were unable to reach their homes. I am touched by the outpouring of love and blessings for me but I just think that I am doing my bit and everyone should do it. It is easy to appreciate me or my mission but I urge others to do the same.
Sonu has also launched ‘Sanjeevani – A Shot of Life’, an initiative to encourage people to get themselves vaccinated against coronavirus. Well done Sonu, you are doing outstanding work.
