Aakash (Gurmeet Choudhary) is an orphan living in Thailand, where he works as a skydiver and runs a company with his girlfriend, Nisha (Anushka Lohar). Their relationship, however, is far from perfect. Nisha is controlling, and Aakash often finds himself adjusting to her demands. Things fall apart when he catches her with another business partner. Heartbroken, he decides to leave Thailand and travel to India.

Aakash visits his late father’s family to attend a wedding. There, he meets Tamanna (Isha Malviya). Their first interaction is hardly romantic, but they gradually grow closer. Aakash starts developing feelings for her, although Tamanna initially sees him as a friend.

Tamanna has her own complications. Her maternal grandmother has made it clear that she must get married and sustain the marriage for a year if she wants to inherit the family property. Still hurt by a previous relationship with a man who ghosted her, Tamanna sees a practical solution in Aakash.

The two eventually agree to a contractual marriage. For Tamanna, it offers a way to secure her inheritance. For Aakash, it is an opportunity to move on from his troubled relationship and start afresh. Neither expects the arrangement to become emotionally complicated.

Things take another turn when Nisha decides to seek revenge and threatens Aakash’s business. As his feelings for Tamanna grow stronger, their carefully planned arrangement begins to change. The question is whether their marriage will remain a convenient deal or turn into something real.

Tum Mere Ho Review

The idea behind Tum Mere Ho has enough potential for an engaging romantic entertainer. A contractual marriage, a complicated ex and two people slowly discovering their feelings for each other offer plenty of scope for romance and humour. Director Ashish Panda brings a glossy, larger than life treatment to the story, giving it a cinematic feel rather than keeping it confined to a simple relationship drama. Ashish Panda brings experience from his work in music videos, and that shows in the film’s visual presentation.

The film works best when it focuses on Aakash and Tamanna’s evolving relationship. Their initial awkwardness gradually gives way to comfort, and the emotional moments become more effective as their equation changes. There are some lighthearted scenes that keep the narrative moving, while the romantic portions have a familiar charm. The film does not reinvent the genre, but it understands the appeal of a love story built around two people who enter a relationship for entirely different reasons.

However, the screenplay is not equally strong throughout. Some developments feel convenient, and the conflicts could have been explored with greater depth. Nisha’s attempts to disrupt Aakash’s life add drama, but the writing occasionally takes the predictable route. The contractual marriage is the film’s most promising element, yet certain emotional turns happen too quickly. A tighter screenplay could have made the central relationship more convincing.

At 2 hours and 14 minutes, the film also feels slightly stretched in places. Some scenes could have been trimmed to maintain a smoother pace. Still, the lead pair’s chemistry helps the story recover whenever the writing loses momentum.

Music And Technical Aspects

The music is one of the film’s biggest strengths. Mithoon’s title track is soothing and sets the romantic mood beautifully, creating a satisfying big screen moment. Winter Ayun Waliye 2.0 by Arjuna Harjai also stands out, while Tumhein Bhi Humse is particularly memorable. The other songs by Vivek Verma and Krish add energy to the soundtrack. The cinematography is stunning. The romantic sequences have a polished look, while the grander moments add to the theatrical appeal.

Tum Mere Ho Performances

Gurmeet Choudhary is the soul of the film. He brings confidence and screen presence to the role while handling the character’s heartbreak and romantic vulnerability well. His performance is particularly effective in the lighter moments, and he carries the film’s dramatic scenes with conviction.

Isha Malviya is the heartbeat of Tum Mere Ho. She makes a promising Bollywood debut as Tamanna. Isha brings freshness and natural charm to the character, making her believable in both the playful and emotional scenes. Her chemistry with Gurmeet is one of the film’s biggest positives. She holds her own alongside him and gives the romance much of its warmth.

Anushka Lohar is convincing as Nisha. She brings the required edge to a character whose actions create much of the conflict. Romanch Mehta, Vikas Verma and the rest of the supporting cast contribute to the story, although the screenplay keeps most of the focus on the lead pair.
