Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. He has many movies lined up for release. There are reports that Akshay Kumar is reuniting with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Good Newwz director Raj Mehta. Even Emraan Hashmi will also join the cast. It will be the first time Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi collaborating together. Emraan Hashmi was last seen with Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Chehre. The audience applauded his performance. He will be next seen opposite Salman Khan in the film Tiger 3. According to the reports in News18, Emraan will be sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar for the first time.
The project is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Driving License, released in 2019. In the original movie, Prithviraj played a film superstar. While Suraj Venjaramoodu played the role of a traffic inspector who is a massive fan of the superstar. However, some misunderstanding leads to the two locking horns with each other. The duo tries to make each other’s life a living hell. As per the reports, Akshay Kumar will portray the role played by Prithviraj, and Emraan Hashmi will step into the shoes of Suraj Venjaramoodu. The source said,
“This is the first time the two actors are going to work together. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Driving License which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles.”
There will be some minor changes in the script, keeping the Hindi audience in mind. The film will go on floors in January with a 40-day start-to-end schedule in the UK. It is good news for all the fans of Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. With theatres to reopen in Maharashtra from October 22nd, many Bollywood movies release dates are announced. Akshay Kumar has the maximum number of releases lined up with Sooryavanshi releasing this Diwali.
