Six years after the release of Fukrey Returns, Fukrey 3 will visit theatres in a few months. The Richa Chadha-starrer was supposed to be released in September, but it was pushed because of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film Jawan. Fukrey 3 now has a new release date and will be in cinemas in December.

As per reports, Fukrey 3 will release at the theatres on either December 1 or December 8 this year. According to a source, the third installment of the popular comedy will be published in the winter season, as Fukrey Returns was previously released in December.

While speaking with the media, the source claimed, “Two dates were discussed aggressively in the meetings over the last few weeks – December 1 and December 8, with most of the stakeholders favoring a December 1 release. An announcement is around the corner.”

Why Was Fukrey 3 Delayed?

In light of the upcoming release dates of Tiger 3 and Dunki, the producers have made this decision. Tiger 3 will be released on November 10, while Dunki will be released on December 22. To minimize any clashes and give Fukrey 3 ample space to perform successfully, the team opted to release Fukrey 3 three weeks after Tiger 3 and three weeks before Dunki. They have moved the film’s release date from November to early December.

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directs Fukrey 3, which stars Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi. Excel Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar will finance it.

Fukrey

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s “Fukrey” is a Hindi-language comedy film. It debuted in 2013 and quickly became a commercial hit in India. The plot centers around four friends—Hunny, Choocha, Lali, and Zafar—who want to get quick money and also become embroiled in numerous schemes and escapades.

“Fukrey” earned great feedback for its amusing plot and interesting acting. Furthermore, the film’s popularity prompted the release of a sequel, “Fukrey Returns,” in 2017. Both films combine humor, drama, and aspects of crime to depict the lives of these individuals and their exploits in Delhi.
