The promo starts with Karan Johar teasing his fans that he knows that all are waiting to watch the new season of Koffee With Karan. However, he has been bombarded with lots of boycott tweets and trolls slamming him for Koffee With Karan 7. Then, Karan Johar changes his stance and says that okay, not everyone is waiting for the new season. He adds that everybody wants to come on the show. The promo becomes quite hilarious after this.

In the promo, Karan Johar is having a hard time convincing his Bollywood friends to appear on the show. He can be seen on the phone convincing and begging his unseen friends from the industry to return to the show. Karan even tries to bribe them with lucrative gift hampers and film offers. He is also reminding someone on call that he has launched him. To another person on call, he said they are best friends. Karan also promises to not ask personal questions.
