This eight-episode series kicks off with the mysterious murder of Chandra Pratap Raisinggh – the menacing King of Bikaner – and what follows is a twisted tale of lies, inheritance, and sibling warfare. At the heart of this royal chaos are his three biological children – Indrani, Kavya, and Abhimanyu played by Nimrat Kaur, Ridhi Dogra, and Amol Parashar– and the ever-loyal adopted son, Brij, played by Gaurav Arora. The story slowly unfolds, giving us a deep dive into the toxic dynamics within the Raisinggh family. The real storm brews after the king’s death, as old scars resurface and loyalties get tested in the battle for the throne.

The plot centers on the fight for legacy, but the true tension lies in the sibling conflict, especially the clash between Brij and Abhimanyu. The throne eventually lands with Abhimanyu, who’s battling demons of his own – from drug addiction to unresolved childhood trauma. While Indrani goes all out to protect him, her arc turns unexpectedly dark, making you wonder just how far she’ll go in the name of love and family.

Kull Series Review

Director Sahir Raza has made a well-made crime thriller. But let me tell you, Kull is not your typical fast-paced thriller. It takes its sweet time building up the drama. But once the gears shift, it hooks you with its emotional depth and layered storytelling. While some portions may feel a bit stretched for drama’s sake, the payoff comes in the final episodes. And yes, the twists in the end do make up for the occasional mid-season drag.

Kull Series Performances

Nimrat Kaur as Indrani is fantastic. She carries the emotional weight of the series with grace and intensity. Ridhi Dogra is such a fine actress. Be it in Jawan, The Sabarmati Report, and now Kull, she has been brilliant. Ridhi Dogra adds a refreshing modern vibe in the series. Gaurav Arora is impressive. He brings calm to the chaos and earns your sympathy without even trying too hard. Amol Parashar feels authentic, though in some scenes he goes overboard.

Final Verdict

Kull Series Review

Kull: The Legacy of Raisingghs is a slow crime thriller that takes you to the dark family dramas with a royal touch, murder mysteries, and layered characters. Yes, there are some over-dramatic sequences, but it balances the emotion and suspense quite well. Kull is a twisted, emotional ride – one that ends on a note you won’t see coming. This eight-episode series, Kull, is binge-worthy this weekend.
