Several Sushant’s fans mentioned how actor and director Rajat Kapoor once made fun of the late actor’s looks. It happened when he was filming MS Dhoni-The Untold Story. He disregarded his fantastic performance in the film and made fun of his appearance. On September 29, 2016, Rajat Kapoor mocked Sushant Singh Rajput in a tweet. He started it on Twitter by writing that the real-life cricketer looks far better than the actor who portrays Dhoni. This demonstrates clearly that he was directing it towards Sushant Singh Rajput. In a tweet on September 29, 2016, Rajat Kapoor wrote,

“Dhoni looks so much better than the actor who plays him.. #fact”

Fans immediately took offense to Rajat Kapoor’s comment. They then confronted him, expressing their deep disappointment in his tweet. Some have even said that he was acting this way to gain attention and he was envious of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant gave a polite reply to the tweet. He didn’t say anything until the film became a huge box office success. After a week, Sushant reacted to the tweet. He claimed that he slogged a little bit harder on his skills to make up for it. Sushant wrote,

“I Slogged a bit extra on my skills to compensate. If you get interested in that,pls do watch the film sir:) #fact”

In addition, he requested him to see the movie if he was interested. The two’s conversation nevertheless came to a happy end. Both actors praised their performances of each other. Rajat responded,

“@itsSSR :))) I believe your performance is fab in the film.. and maan, your fan following is huge!! Best wishes, Sushant.”

Sushant replied to it,

“They are not my fans sir , I don’t have many. They just like good films:) Ps.- You were really good in Kapoor &sons👍”

One of the most modest actors, Sushant Singh Rajput, responded to the tweet in the kindest way he could.
