Hungama is one of the most iconic movies in Bollywood. It is one of the most amazing comedy movies of all time. Priyadarshan has directed the first installment. Now after 18 years, the director is back with the sequel of the movie, Hungama 2. Hungama 2 was ready to release for one year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the theatres are not yet open fully. Hence, the makers have decided to release it digitally. Hungama 2 is releasing on streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on July 23rd and is one of the most awaited movies. Hungama 2 starring Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffery, and Pranitha Subhash. The trailer of the movie is looking promising and surely will take you on a fun and entertaining ride. Priyadarshan is known for his comedy movies like Hera Pheri, Hungama, Hulchul, Malamaal Weekly, Chup Chup Ke, Garam Masala, to name a few.
Shilpa Shetty has recently talked about playing the role of Paresh Rawal’s wife in the movie Hungama 2. She told that despite playing the couple, there is a huge gap of 20 years between her and Paresh Rawal. In the 2002 released movie Chor Machaaye Shor, Paresh Rawal has played the role of Shilpa Shetty’s father. Talking to India Forums, Shilpa Shetty said,
“I remember in one of my movies, Paresh played my father and now he’s married to me in Hungama 2 but he is playing my husband who is quite older to his young, attractive wife. Our age gap in the film is at least 15 years and he is playing the role of a husband in the film who is constantly imagining that his wife is having an affair with a younger man.”
In another statement, Shilpa Shetty said,
“I can’t tell you how excited I am, I always wanted to work with Paresh ji in a comedy with Priyadarshan. This is really a tick on my bucket list. This has always been a lethal combination with Paresh, Priyadarshan and with a franchise that has been extremely successful before.”
Paresh Rawal has also talked about playing Shilpa Shetty’s husband. In an interview with Mid-Day, he said,
“If you have a wife looking like Shilpa Shetty, any husband would be insecure. What I like the most about her is that she is so passionate about her work”.
