Director Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur have done a brilliant job. The direction is crisp and effective. The duo perfectly captures the war scenes, and air combat scenes without going overboard. Every scene is crafted with emotions and leaves you spellbound. If you think that Sky Force is like another Fighter, then you are mistaken. Sky Force does not rely on air combat scenes only, in fact, the core of the Sky Force is the emotions and sacrifices of the soldiers. The emotional journey of the soldiers is what makes Sky Force more impactful.

The film is a visual spectacle. The aerial combat scenes are breathtaking and have been showcased with utmost sincerity. The special effects and the VFX bring the high-octane aerial scenes to life. The sequences depicting air strikes are jaw-dropping and feel authentic. The pace of the film keeps you on the edge of your seat with action, drama, emotions, and tension.

What makes it more appealing is the background music. The BGM from Justin Varghese elevates the film to epic proportions. Not only in the action sequences but also during emotional scenes, the BGM stands out. The soundtrack of the film is very well integrated. The timeless and evergreen song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo’ from the legendary Lata Mangeshkar during the climax makes you teary-eyed.

Sky Force Review Veer Paharia Sara Ali Khan
via

Veer Pahariya makes an impressive debut. He fits into the character of T Krishnan Vijaya with sincerity. He is bold and fearless. His emotional arc evolves from an overconfident rebellious soldier to tragic sacrifices adding a layer to the narrative. He will keep you hooked throughout his journey and leave a long-lasting impression with his performance.

Sky Force Nimrat Kaur
via

Nimrat Kaur delivers stellar performance in a limited screen presence. She portrays Om Ahuja’s wife and is poignant, providing emotional depth and lends good support to the narrative.

Sky Force Sara Ali Khan
via

Sara Ali Khan plays T Krishnan Vijaya’s spouse. She perfectly delivers the pain and excels in emotional scenes. Her silent prayers, waiting for her husband, terrified of the unknown makes you feel emotionally connected with her. Sara provides an emotional anchor to the story and reminds us of what a soldier’s family has to go through. Sharad Kelkar is decent on his limited screen presence.

Talking about the shortcomings, the film gets flat during the second half because of the melodrama that breaks your momentum for some time. But it quickly comes back on track for the powerful emotional climax.
