Bholaa is an action-packed thriller. Ajay Devgn has shown his love for action with his direction Shivaay. Bholaa, a remake of the 2019 Tamil film Kaithi. The film has some great action sequences that are never seen before. Ajay Devgn is slowly acing the dual responsibilities of acting and direction. He has made sure that the actions shot in 3D keep you indulged. His body language and dialogue delivery are top-notch. Tabu once again proved why she had been rated so high as an actress. She gets into the skin of a fearless cop with ease. Deepak Dobriyal has been in a never seen before avatar. His character Ashwathama is evil and brutal. Kiran Kumar, Sanjay Mishra, Makrand Deshpande, and Gajraj Rao have played their part well.

Ajay Devgn, as a director, has a challenging situation to get the story unfolded on a single dark night, and he did a good job. The VFX and 3D effects have added thrill to the story. Aseem Bajaj has been terrific with his cinematography. Also, a special mention of Ravi Basrur’s background music. It adds a much-needed element to the story. Bholaa tries to recreate the same magic of the original Kaithi.

The story is not so strong, and you will always look for something meaningful. Despite some of the flaws, the film takes you to the larger-than-life action sequence. There are some questions in the movie that are not answered. However, the cliffhanger in the climax should not be missed.
