Captain Vikrant Khanna essayed by Ajay Devgn is one of the most skilled pilots. He was appointed to fly the aircraft Skyline 777 from Dubai to Cochin. He along with his co-pilot Tanya portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh starts the journey when they come across a weather problem. Captain Vikrant Khanna is forced to land a plane in a life-threatening situation due to low visibility. He lands the aircraft safely and saves the passengers. But there are lots of questions that arise and the incident gathers attention.

Captain Vikrant Khanna finds himself in an investigation session held against him by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Narayan Vedant, one of the finest investigators. He looks at the case closely and enquires Vikrant Khanna about the incident. Is the pilot guilty? Ajay Devgn is back in the direction after six years with Runway 34. His last direction Shivaay was released in 2016. Ajay Devgn directed Runway 34 brilliantly. His storytelling keeps you engaged till the end. This cinematic aviation drama is visually brilliant. Talking about the performances, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn are outstanding. They keep you hooked throughout the film. Rakul Preet Singh is impressive. Boman Irani and Angira Dhar have done a wonderful job.

The first half of the film takes you on a thrilling turbulent aircraft journey. It is fast-paced and won’t let you leave your seat. The second half is an engaging courtroom drama. Though it is dragged at some places. The dialogues of the film are crisp and well-written. Overall, Runway 34 is a brilliantly shot edgy thriller with an engaging plot and finest performances. We give Runway 34, 3.5 stars out of 5.
