Coolie No.1 Story

Still From Trailer

Paresh Rawal portrays the role of Jeffery Rozario wants a billionaire son-in-law for his two daughters Sarah played by Sara Ali Khan and Anju portrayed by Shika Talsania. He insults Jai Kishen played by Jaaved Jaafery. Jai Kishen teaches him a lesson by getting his daughter Sarah married to a Raju Coolie played by Varun Dhawan. Talking about the story, there is nothing new in the story. Right from the scenes, story, characters, everything is similar to Govinda’s movie with the same name. If you have not watched the original one, it will entertain you for sure.

Coolie No.1 Review

Still From Trailer

It is a remake of David Dhawan’s movie. Even if you do not want to compare, the comparison will come automatically. Well, it is old wine in a new bottle. The locations are more beautiful. The songs have been picturized more exotically. There is nothing new in the story, it is the same as it is, even most of the scenes. Paresh Rawal was stand out if we talk about the performances. His lines Heaven on the docks man was funny.

Still From Song

Varun Dhawan too did a decent job as a Raju Coolie. You will see how crazy a fan Varun Dhawan is of WWE. Yes, you will see him giving smack of Brock Lesnar, and John Cena. In one of the scenes, you will see him giving the gesture ‘You Can’t See Me’ of John Cena. His comic timing is good. Varun tried his best to fit in the character of Raju Coolie. There are some scenes in the movie that will look like they are exaggerated, like the one in which Varun Dhawan saves a child from the railway track. Sara Ali Khan looked good in the movie but she needs to work on her emotional expression. Sahil Vaid as Varun Dhawan’s friend was good in his role.

The movie will surely give you laughter and hilarious moments. Overall Coolie No.1 will entertain you if you keep the original aside and watch it like a new one. We give the movie 3 stars out of 5.
