Pathaan has shattered records at the box office. It became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, Pathaan has already crossed Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office in all languages and is close to crossing Rs 1000 crore worldwide. It has laid the foundation stone for the YRF Spy universe. Now, fans are waiting for Tiger 3, that is schedule to release on Diwali 2023. Even there is a report that YRF is planning a major film which will have Pathaan vs Tiger i.e. Shah Rukh Khan will take on Salman Khan.
Now there is a report on War 2. It is happening sooner than expected. A report claimed that Aditya Chopra is working on War 2, and the script has been written by Sridhar Raghavan, who worked in Pathaan and War. According to the reports of Peeping Moon, War 2 will have Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan crossover. A source said,
“Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War was the third YRF spy film after Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. But that film was created as a solo film with no clear connection to the previous Tiger movies. Pathaan started the crossover of previous spy characters and was directly linked to War. Salman’s Diwali release, Tiger 3, will continue the crossover, with SRK’s character making an extended cameo. And then will come Hrithik’s War 2, which will be a massive crossover of all five previous spy films. The sequel has been written in such a way that it has a connection with the previous spy stories. Hrithik will return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal; however, it’s yet unknown if the film will tell Kabir’s backstory with Jim (John Abraham) or it’ll be set in a completely new setting.”
The filming of War 2 will begin by the end of 2023 and it will be the next film for Hrithik Roshan after Fighter, that will release on January 25, 2024.
