Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! is one of the most entertaining shows running on television. It is one of the longest runnings television shows. Recently, the show won the ‘The Landmark Show of 2020‘ award. Many tv serials go through the phase of actors replacement. In Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, the actors are replaced twice. First, it was Shubhangi Atre that replaced Shilpa Shinde for the role of Angoori Bhabi. Recently, Nehha Pendse replaced Saumya Tandon for the role of Anita Bhabi. Shubhangi Atre replaced Shilpa Shinde in the serial in 2016, and since then, she is doing an outstanding job as an Angoori bhabi character.
There was a time when Shilpa Shinde made a copy cat comment on Shubhangi Atre. In 2016, Shilpa Shinde quit the show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!. When Shubhangi Atre replaced Shilpa Shinde, the audiences did not like her much, but slowly they started loving her, acting as Angoori Bhabi. According to Telly Chakkar, talking about Shubhangi’s acting, Shilpa Shinde said,
“She is a good copy cat. I have seen her on the show. You can make someone look and dress like Angoori, but it’s not easy to act like Angoori. She is a good actress and will definitely do well in her career if she stops imitating and does something original.”
Shubhangi Atre also replied to Shilpa Shinde’s comment. Talking to TOI, Shubhangi Atre reacted and said,
“There was never a question of copying anyone. I was not playing Shubhangi Atre or Shilpa Shinde on-screen. I was essaying a character and it was written by a writer. I was enacting the lines, the mannerism that were told to me. Angoori was a character. When Shilpa played the role Angoori used to speak in Bhojpuri and spoke wrong English and that continued even when I stepped into the role, it will not change, it cannot as we both were playing Angoori on-screen.”
Shubhangi Atre’s reply ends the war of words between the two amazingly talented actresses. Now, Shubhangi Atre is busy in the role of Angoori Bhabi, while Shilpa Shinde is busy with her web-series. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! telecasts every Monday to Friday at 10:30 PM on &TV.
