Controversy Revolving The Kerala Story

TKS, directed by Vipul Shah, depicts how Kerala women were forced to convert and recruited by the terror organization. The film has been banned in West Bengal, and multiplexes in Tamil Nadu have ceased showing it due to the law and order situation. However, a few states, including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, have granted it tax-free status.
The Supreme Court announced on Tuesday that it will hear a petition challenging the Kerala High Court’s refusal to halt the release of The Kerala Story. Last Monday, the Supreme Court requested responses from the governments of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu in response to the makers of The Kerala Story’s separate complaint that the film is not being screened in theatres in these two states.
