The trailer for Indian comedy-drama Badhaai Ho has been out and it displayed the coming-of-age romance in a humorous way. The Ayushmann Khurana starrer is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Since the topic of s*x makes the people shy and embarrassed when discussed publicly in Indian society, this one took a humorous approach to it.

Story Of Badhaai Ho

As the title of the film Badhaai Ho (Congratulations) suggests, the film is about a moment of celebration, however, this kind of celebration seems to be an embarrassment for Ayushmann Khurana and his on-screen family. Ayushmann is playing the role of a young man who is ready for marriage. However, his parents blasted the pregnancy bomb and that left him at sixes and sevens. The pregnancy of Neena Gupta (Ayushmann’s On Screen Mother) becomes a hot topic in the society they are living in. Ayushmann considers it to be an embarrassment. The way he starts dealing with the situation makes it even funnier than it actually is.

Cast

Ayushmann Khurana is playing the lead role and it seems like he is doing great in it. His character seems a bit confused, a bit pissed off and helpless for sure. Neena Gupta playing the role of Khurana’s mother. Gajraj Rao is playing the role of Ayushmann’s father. Apart from it, Sanya Malhotra is playing the role of Khurana’s girlfriend who seems to be mature enough to deal with the situation and she tries to admonish Khurana from the melancholy of the society.

The trailer seems promising as it has introduced a quirky situation that anyone can relate to. The most appealing thing about the film is that it highlights how a society turns a family thing into a subject of awkwardness.
