Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the titular role of Bachchan Pandey. Farhan Samji is directing Bachchan Pandey. The film also stars Arshad Warsi, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pankaj Tripathi. Bachchan Pandey is officially releasing on January 26, 2022.
6. Ram Setu
During Diwali 2020, Akshay Kumar announced another movie Ram Setu. He has shared the first look of the movie on social media. The shooting of the movie Ram Setu will happen in Ayodhya. Akshay Kumar even had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath about the plan. Recently, the leading actresses of Ram Setu are finalized. Akshay Kumar will be seen with Nushratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez. The shooting for Ram Setu is supposed to start in mid-2021. Abhishek Kapoor is directing the movie Ram Setu. The film will release sometime in 2022.
7. Raksha Bandhan
Akshay Kumar had officially announced another movie Raksha Bandhan in August 2020. The movie is in the pre-production stage. Aanand L.Rai is directing this movie. While announcing the movie, it was scheduled to release on November 5th, 2021. However, the chances are bleak as Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj is scheduled to release on the same date. Rakha Bandhan will release sometime in 2022.
8. Housefull 5
Akshay Kumar is all set for another big-budget project, Housefull 5. Akshay Kumar did all the previous four installments and is the main actor in the Housefull franchise. The makers are planning to bring all the major characters from the previous installments. The fifth installment will mark the return of Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, and many more for this huge project. There is no official announcement for the release date of this movie.
