It’s truly captivating how Vidhu Vinod Chopra places the audience at the forefront of his films, crafting an enthralling narrative with the movie’s writing team. The climax, in particular, stands out as one of the most rewarding moments in recent cinema. The story is also so compelling that it makes you overlook a single misstep and empathize with the individual who has won over destiny to conquer the world.

Moreover, Vikrant Massey was acutely aware of the excellence of his character. Portraying Manoj Kumar Singh, he emerges as the shining star of this tale, singlehandedly rescuing the day with his outstanding acting. Medha Shankar, too, is a master of conveying volumes through silence. Anant Vijay Joshi’s portrayal of Pandey is another brilliant addition to the cast, and the remaining actors also deliver commendable performances. In the realm of filmmaking, Vidhu Vinod Chopra offers a prime illustration of pure, uncomplicated storytelling.

Yet, it remains so intriguing that it immerses you in every emotion. Shantanu Moitra, with his breathtaking background music, leaves us in awe. While the storyline may occasionally tread familiar ground, other aspects of the filmmaking compensate for this familiarity. However, 12th Fail does include melodramatic sequences that may contribute to its somewhat extended feel.
