There are many Bollywood movies, songs, and posters that are not original and have been copied from Hollywood or even from the South Indian film industry. There have been various instances wherein the blockbusters of Bollywood have been recreated in the South Cinema that has become a huge hit among the youth audiences. Here are various Bollywood movies that have been recreated by the South Indian film industry.


1. Queen – Paris Paris

Queen was a major hit in the Bollywood industry, which starred Kangana Ranaut as its lead actress and Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao in the supporting role. The South industry remade this film with Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role and Elli Avram and Varun Shashi Rao in its supporting roles.


2. Delhi Belly – Settai

Delhi Belly became popular among the audience because of the strong plot, even though there was no grade A actors involved in this film. The Tamil film industry remade the same, and even Settai did pretty well.

The legal comedy Jolly LLB was a superhit starring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. Talks have been made for the sequel of this movie. Tamil remake has been made for this movie and was inspired by the Sanjeev Nanda case. It also involved a lawyer who tries to seek justice for six innocent wage earners.


5. Jab We Met – Kanden Kadhalai

Jab We Met is still one of the most favorite movies among youths starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kanden Kadhalai was a remake of Jab We Met, having Tamannaah and Bharath in the lead.
