After a blockbuster opening week, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh’s multistarrer comedy Housefull 5 has entered its second week with a consistent performance. On its eighth day (second Friday), the film added ₹6.60 crore to its total, bringing its India net collection to ₹140.18 crore. Despite a typical weekday drop, the film has managed to stay steady and remains a strong contender at the box office.

Released on June 6, Housefull 5 kicked off its theatrical run on a high note. It raked in an impressive ₹24.35 crore on opening Friday, followed by ₹32.38 crore on Saturday and ₹35.10 crore on Sunday, pushing the weekend total to over ₹91 crore. The film continued to attract audiences during weekdays as well, collecting:
- Monday: ₹13.15 crore
- Tuesday: ₹11.70 crore
- Wednesday: ₹9.40 crore
- Thursday: ₹7.50 crore
By the end of Week 1, the total stood at ₹133.58 crore.
Housefull 5 Steady Start To Week 2

On Day 8 (Friday, June 14), the film earned ₹6.60 crore, showing only a 13% drop from the previous day. This is considered a healthy hold for a film entering its second week, especially without any major new Bollywood releases. With the weekend ahead, trade experts are optimistic about another boost in collections.
According to industry analyst Taran Adarsh, the consistent weekday trend bodes well for the film. In a recent update, he noted that Housefull 5 is “maintaining a strong grip on audiences” and has a solid chance of accelerating again over the weekend.
Housefull 5 Audience Occupancy

Occupancy data supports the film’s solid performance, particularly in night shows. On Day 8, the film’s Hindi occupancy averaged 11.71%, with the highest turnout during:
- Night Shows: 16.85%
- Afternoon Shows: 12.73%
- Evening Shows: 11.74%
- Morning Shows: Just 5.51%
The improved turnout in later shows suggests that audiences are still interested and possibly rewatching it, partly due to the film’s innovative dual climax structure.
Housefull 5: Two Climax Versions

Housefull 5 has surprised audiences by releasing two different versions of its climax—titled Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B—each offering a distinct twist to the film’s ending. This move has not only added to the buzz but is also encouraging fans to return for a second viewing to catch the alternate version, giving the film a novelty factor rarely seen in commercial Bollywood.
Plot And Star Power

The film is set aboard a luxury cruise ship and revolves around several imposters competing to claim the inheritance of a deceased billionaire. The chaotic comedy of errors, filled with mistaken identities and over-the-top antics, stays true to the Housefull brand of humour.
With an ensemble cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soundarya Sharma, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and many more, the film appeals to a wide demographic. The presence of veteran comic actors like Chunky Pandey and Johnny Lever adds to its mass appeal.
Third-Highest-Grosser Of 2025

With ₹140.18 crore in the bank, Housefull 5 has now overtaken Sky Force (₹134.93 crore) to become the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025. It now trails only behind:
1. Chhaava – ₹615.39 crore
2. Raid 2 – ₹177.83 crore
This also makes Housefull 5 Akshay Kumar’s highest-grossing film of the year so far.
Box Office Collection

- Total India Nett Collection: ₹140.18 crore
- Total India Gross: ₹165.41 crore
- Budget: ₹225 crore
- Recovery: ~62% of budget covered via domestic box office
Looking Ahead

With no major competition this weekend, Housefull 5 is poised to benefit from its brand value and word-of-mouth momentum. If the trend holds, the film could see another significant jump on Saturday and Sunday, bringing it closer to the ₹175–₹200 crore mark in the coming weeks.
