The August 17, 2023 episode of Bhagya Lakshmi opens with Harleen informing Kiran that Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth) is Lakshmi and that she does not require anyone’s consent to reside in the house. Lakshmi should leave the Oberoi home, claims Kiran, who opposes. Lakshmi is a member of the family, and Kiran is not the right person to question her existence in this home, Harleen explains to Kiran. She mentions how Lakshmi has frequently saved the family and how important she is to them. She also informs her that no one outside the Oberoi family, including herself, would be able to determine whether Lakshmi will reside there.

Malishka’s Decision
Malishka watches her mother furiously go as Kiran looks down in shame after realizing Harleen labeled her an outcast and storms out of there. She plans to give Lakshmi a lesson soon and tightens her hand in rage at her mom’s disgrace.

Karishma enters Neelam’s room to check on her and inquire whether she is well in the opening scene of the upcoming episode. Although Neelam claims to feel somewhat better, she still has mixed feelings about her previous dream. Neelam explains that her heart is disturbed since Lakshmi is in the home while Karishma inquires about what this means. She describes how the night before, she had seen Lakshmi sleeping outside of Rishi’s room and even had a terrible dream about Rishi being in trouble again. Since Lakshmi would be leaving the house, Karishma assured her it wouldn’t be an issue.
The family members sleep well in their room at night, but Lakshmi packs her luggage and departs. Lakshmi considers their memories of one another as she glances back toward the house and Rishi’s room.
