Theatres and multiplexes will not open anytime soon because of the Coronavirus pandemic. There is no shooting happening of any Bollywood movies and television serials. But many movies are almost ready for release. Many filmmakers have decided to release their films directly on OTT platforms. Gulabo Sitabo, one of the most awaited movies of Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan starrer, will directly release on Amazon Prime Video on June 12.
Gulabo Sitabo was scheduled to release on April 17. But due to coronavirus, all the multiplexes and cinema halls are shut down. The filmmakers are finding new ways to reopen. Shoojit Sircar directs Gulabo Sitabo. It is the first time when Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana coming together. It will have a digital premiere on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan both have shared this news on social media.

Gulabo Sitabo is a comedy-drama film in which Amitabh Bachchan will be seen as Gulabo, and Ayushmann Khurrana portrays the role of Sitabo. The satellite rights of the movie were sold to Sony Max.
The movie Angrezi Medium, the last film of Irrfan Khan, had only three days run in the cinema halls when all the cinema halls were shut because of the novel coronavirus. It was about to rerelease in the theatres. But then the movie had a digital release on Disney+ Hotstar on April 6. Another movie Ghoomketu starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also have directly release on digital platform ZEE5 on May 22.
