The 71st annual Cannes Film Festival is currently being held from 8th to 19th May 2018. A lot of Indian stars are making their presence on the red carpet in stunning fashion and style. 1. Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor made a bold statement at this year’s Cannes by donning a faite sur mesure Ralph & Russo gown resembling a lehenga. Props to her for embracing and celebrating both her culture and her newly-wed look by wearing an outfit that complimented her mehendi. She completed her look with an Amrapali parandi in her hair. For those, who didn’t quite appreciate the thought behind it, here’s something for ya! Sonam who will tie the knot on May 7 and 8, will attend the festival on May 14 and May 15. This will be her eighth Cannes appearance.
2. Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut will make her big debut at the prestigious film festival, which is being held from May 8-19. As per reports, she has been chosen by a premium brand to represent and celebrate excellence in Indian cinema. It was Kangana Ranaut’s first appearance at the Cannes this year, and she looked stunning in a retro look.
3. Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone appeared for the first time at Cannes Film Festival in 2010. The 31-year-old star who walked at the prestigious event as a brand ambassador of Chivas Regal back then. She made her appearance multiple times. Recently she flaunted her fit bod in a bright pink costume and she was very cheerful and energetic and also got viral for her tongue pose.
4. Aiswarya Rai Bachchan
Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who made her shining debut at Cannes Film Festival 16 years ago, has always been talked about in her Cannes appearances. The diva sported multiple costumes at the red carpet. This time, notably, she sported a butterfly style dress which broke the internet.
5. Mallika Sherawat
While Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut bowled away onlookers in divine sheer gowns, Mallika Sherawat too made it to the headlines by walking the red carpet on the same day in a lilac attire. The interesting swan inspired gown was a wise choice with a not so prominent slit at the front and a trail to boast off. Needless to say, she looked every bit heavenly in the Tony Ward gown as she was styled by one of Paris’ top stylist, Wil Ariyameth. With her side-parted hair tied behind, the ‘Murder’ girl flaunted a bold neckline adding to the oomph while underplaying in light makeup and nude lips. She has been representing an NGO at the film festival that works towards eliminating child prostitution and trafficking.
