As a result, the film’s earnings on the fifth day of release are actually slightly more significant than on the fourth. The Kerala Story, starring Adah Sharma, began its theatrical run with Rs 8.03 crore, followed by Rs 11.22 crore on Saturday, Rs 16.40 crore on Sunday, and a double-digit collection on its first Monday, Rs 10.07 crore.

The Kerala Story Crossed Rs 50 Crore Mark

The Kerala Story Movie Review

The Kerala Story had exceeded the Rs 50 crore mark in just five days. The film has already surpassed Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee (Rs 23.63 crore) and Kartik Aaryan‘s Shehzada (Rs 47.43 crore) lifetime collections in its five-day total. The Kerala Story had the fifth-highest opening day for a Hindi film in 2023, after Pathaan (Rs 55 crore), Salman Khan‘s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (Rs 15.81 crore), Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor‘s romance drama Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs 15.7 crore), and Ajay Devgan’s Bholaa (Rs 11.20 crore).

Though The Kerala Story is gaining traction at the box office due to the controversy surrounding it, it is still trailing the highly controversial 2022 film The Kashmir Files. Nevertheless, people are flocking to see The Kerala Story, even though it has been accused of misrepresenting facts. The Kerala Story is based on allegations that ISIS radicalized Kerala women. The Uttar Pradesh government proclaimed the film ‘tax-free’ on Tuesday, a day after the West Bengal government banned it. The film will indeed cross the Rs 100 crore mark and be a Blockbuster.

About The Kerala Story

Adah Sharma The Kerala Story

Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idhani play key parts in the film. It’s about the forcible conversion of non-Muslim females in Kerala. It was accused of “falsely claiming” that 32,000 women were radicalized and sent on terror missions. While the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) deemed it fit for public viewing, a slew of petitions requesting a halt to its release were filed.
