If you thought the first War raised the bar for Bollywood action, wait till you see what’s coming next. The brand-new War 2 (2 minutes 35 seconds) trailer just dropped, and fans can’t stop buzzing about Hrithik Roshan’s fierce return as Kabir, Jr NTR’s powerhouse entry into the YRF spy universe, and Kiara Advani looking ready to fight and flirt in equal measure. From global locations to jaw-dropping stunts, War 2 wants to be bigger, bolder, and louder — but does the trailer hit the mark or miss a few spots? Let’s dive in and find out!
War 2 Trailer

The wait is finally over — War 2 is here to shake things up! The trailer for this much-hyped sequel just dropped, and if you’re a fan of slick spy thrillers, buckle up because this ride is about to get wild.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji (yes, the same guy who gave us Brahmastra), War 2 marks Hrithik Roshan’s return as Kabir — this time deadlier, angrier, and more badass than ever. But here’s the twist: Kabir isn’t alone. Telugu superstar Jr NTR storms into the YRF Spy Universe and he’s not playing second fiddle — his beast-mode entry makes it clear he’s here to match Hrithik punch for punch.
The trailer wastes no time. Within seconds, you’re taken on a whirlwind ride across snow-capped Russian rooftops, secret fortresses, and ocean chases that look straight out of a Hollywood flick. There’s a pulse-pounding sword fight in an abandoned fort, a mid-sea boat chase, and a sniper duel that could give Jason Bourne a run for his money.
Ashutosh Rana in the trailer is intense, and probably the one who gives a hint about the story. His expressions are flawless, and his short trailer presence leaves an impact.

And then there’s Kiara Advani — looking stunning as always but this time, she’s not just standing pretty. She’s got a uniform, a gun, and a punch that lands as hard as Hrithik’s. From sizzling beachside romance to fighting alongside Kabir, Kiara seems set to leave a bigger mark than Vaani Kapoor did in the first War.
A nice little tease? Fans of Tiger Shroff will notice a quick shot of his photograph. Does this mean his character is back from the dead? Or is it just a nod to the first film? The trailer doesn’t spill the beans — and that’s exactly what makes it fun.
War 2 Trailer Review

So, how does the War 2 trailer hold up when you look beyond the stunts and stars? Well, the good news first — the action is top-notch. Hrithik Roshan looks like he was born to play Kabir, all attitude and lethal grace. Jr NTR’s raw presence adds a new layer of excitement — you just know their face-off is going to be fireworks.
The background score does its job, your pulse picks up as the trailer hurtles from one explosive set piece to another. The editing is sharp, the locations look exotic, and the scale is grand.

But here’s where things get a bit shaky: the visual effects. For a film that’s selling itself as India’s answer to Mission Impossible, the CGI and VFX could use a polish. Some of the action shots feel like they need that final coat of finesse to really blow us away. When you promise a globetrotting, mega-budget spectacle, the visuals need to be flawless. Right now, they’re good, but not “OMG wow”.
Of course, let’s cut the trailer some slack — it’s not the final product. If Ayan Mukerji can sprinkle a bit more of that grandeur here (minus the unfinished bits), War 2 could still look amazing on the big screen.
Watch War 2 Trailer
One thing’s for sure — the trailer does its job. It gets you hyped. The real hook here isn’t just the stunts or the locations — it’s the big question: who’s on whose side? Hrithik and Jr NTR both shout “India first!” but clearly one of them is up to something more. That cat-and-mouse game alone makes War 2 worth a watch.
And don’t forget the real war — War 2 is clashing head-on with Rajinikanth’s Coolie this Independence Day. That’s a box office battle made for headlines. Coolie already has massive pre-bookings overseas, and Rajini fans are ready to roar. So August 14 is going to be one spicy weekend at the theatres.

If the makers get the story right, fix those visuals, and deliver the same energy as the first War (or better), this sequel could be a massive win for Bollywood’s spy universe.
So, what’s your pick? Team Kabir, Team Jr NTR, or Team Kiara? Are you rooting for Tiger Shroff to show up too? Whatever side you’re on, one thing’s clear — the hype train has officially left the station!
