It is produced by Pooja Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment. Bell Bottom stars Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, and Adil Hussain. Bell Bottom Story
The movie is based on real incidents. Bell Bottom is set in the late ’70s and early ’80s. A plane is hijacked and lands in Amritsar was the seventh incident in just five years. The Indian Government is trying to tackle the constant plane hijacking in the country. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Anshul Malhotra. He is a Research and Wing (RAW) undercover agent whose codename is Bell Bottom. Akshay Kumar is described as “Married, sharp memory, first-level state player, cleared UPSC, singing teacher, well versed in Hindi, English, German, and French. Vaani Kapoor is playing the role of his wife. Lara Dutta is playing former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He has been brought to rescue 210 hostages and neutralize the four hijackers. How will Akshay Kumar save the hostages?
Bell Bottom Review
Bell Bottom hits a bull-eye with its story, direction, and performances. Akshay Kumar is one such actor in Bollywood, who can do all kinds of roles with perfection. He looks confident and strong in his character. Lara Dutta as Indira Gandhi is convincing and crisp in her dialogues. Adil Hussain’s performance is brilliant. In every scene, his expressions are praiseworthy. The antagonist Zain Khan Durrani also did a good job. Ranjit Tiwari’s direction is superb. Dolly Ahluwalia plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s mother. The duo has some heart-touching and funny scenes together.
The movie does not have any dull moments. The first half is a build-up for a thrilling second half. The story keeps you engaged with its fast-paced and edge-of-the-seat thriller. Director Ranjit Tiwari has made the best film of his career so far. The best thing about the movie is it does not lose momentum.
Bell Bottom is a film that is surely to be experienced on the big screen. Needless to say, Akshay Kumar is leading from the front to unlock cinema halls. Bell Bottom is also released in 3D format.
