This game is not for kids as it turns a little complicated in its later stages. The objective is simple like UNO, you have to finish all the cards in your hand first. The dealer will deal each player eight cards face down and the remaining deck of cards is placed in the center. The eight acts as a wild card, 2’s make the next player pick up two cards while the 4s make the next player skip the turn. It resembles a lot to UNO. Queen of spades will make the next player pick up eight cards.

It is a fast game and easy to be played with kids. Each player will be dealt with three cards face down. They will start their turn picking up a card from the deck in the middle and discarding a card just like Rummy. The objective of the game is to have a sum of 31 in your hand first. You can add more cards to the deck to make the game last longer. Aces can be used as either 1 or 11.

3. Chase The Ace

It is played with a deck of 52 cards. You need at least 3 people to play this game. One card is dealt to each player face down. Only the players can look at their own cards. The main purpose of the game is to not have the lowest card with you. Once the card is dealt, the player can decide if they want to keep the card they are dealt or they want to pass it to the next player. The ranks are from 1 to A. This means if you have a card of 10 or higher, you might want to keep it with you. Players can also discard the card and take a fresh one from the deck. If a player has an Ace, the player can hold on to their card regardless of what other players are doing.

4. Go Fish

It is an exciting game for kids. It is a rather simple game to play as compared to Chase the Ace mentioned above. The dealer will deal five cards to each player face down and the rest of the pile is kept in the center. The first player will choose one of their cards and a player and ask them, “Do you have any ‘X’? This X can be any card. Let’s say Queen of Spades. The player who has been asked the question will either reply yes or no. If yes, they will give the card to the questioner. Or they can say Go Fish if they don’t have the card. In the case of Go Fish, the questioner will have to pick one card from the pile. If the card matches the card you asked for, you can remove both cards from your hand and place them face down. The sole purpose of the game is to match all the cards you have in your hand. The player who finishes his cards first will be the winner.

5. Snap

This is another easy card game to play with family and friends. You need at least two players to play this game. The dealer will deal with the entire deck between player’s faces down. The players will take turns flipping over their cards. When the two players flip the same ranked card, they can shout snap. The first player to say snap wins the two piles of overturned cards from players who matched the ranks. When a player wins the entire deck, he wins.
